The “Woven Dreams” Collection by Doug Masury is a series of framed fine art fiber creations. Using various yarns, glass and metal beads, glass rods, or other items, he applies a Scandinavian rug weaving technique called “Double Stitched Krokbragd.” This is a WEFT faced design meaning no warp threads show through the weaving, which can take up to an hour for 1 inch of weaving. He masterfully wove this dreamlike piece called “Snow Falling On Cedar” using colorful glass rods and covering them with fine a white yarn, giving it the appearance of falling snow. It is framed with a light colored wood frame and comes with hanging hardware. It measures 16.5″ x 17.25″.
