I love fabric of all kinds and enjoy mixing them together in unusual ways to create both functional and decorative items. Most pieces are hand embroidered. Back in the 70s, my grandmother Wiggins (a perfectionist) taught me to sew and embroider and my heart was captured. Since then I’ve continued to create and fine tune a style that now includes beading and is quite unique. Unfortunately, hand embroidery is a dying art since the speed and efficiency of the machine took over. This saddens me because there is a richness and quality in handwork which I believe adds depth to the item and brings peace to the one creating it.
