I trained as a wood and metal shop teacher in the 60s in England. I taught in various schools, worked as a carpenter, repaired antiques.
I arrived in the US in ’79 and helped set up Westminster Gallery, an outlet for British crafts, on Newbury Street, Boston. My main responsibility was as buyer, visiting craftspeople across England. This led to a wish/need to return to hands-on work myself and I ended up doing architectural woodwork until recently.
Now, 2017, I’m expanding my long term interest in 1/6th scale miniature chairs and other small wood craft using veneers.
