My art form is the cyanotype art quilt. It is meant to be hung on the wall like a painting. I began making these in the mid 1970’s. They are “story quilts”, documenting events, places, or experiences in my own life as well as sometimes the lives of others. My quilts are composed of cyanotype photographs that I make myself. My work is in both public and private collections and is included in many books and periodicals. It has received two Ballentine Best in Show awards (1980, 1987) at the League’s juried shows. My pieces are now being included in invitational, historical survey shows about the beginning of the studio art quilt movement.
