A native New Englander, I grew up in Marblehead, MA., graduated with a BFA in Ceramics from RISD, lived in Kittery Point, ME. for 20 years where my sons were raised and now reside in Southern NH. I made the move from ceramics, where I designed custom tile, to metalsmithing in 1990, gaining skills from the DeCordova Museum School, intensive workshops & self-teaching.
Working with both ceramic cabochons & with beach stones, the beach stones dominate my focus. I gravitate to the appeal of the stones in their natural ocean worn state. These pieces are one of a kind, composed then constructed with immaculate and unadorned hand fabricated silver bezels.
