My woodturning career started with the gift of a
1950’s Sears Craftsman lathe back in 2007. Until
then my hobby was building furniture while working
full-time in high-tech as a software developer. I
was immediately hooked. Starting with pens and
wine stoppers, my interests evolved to making
bowls, closed form and hollow form vessels. I
continue to be amazed by the hidden beauty of the
wood as it’s revealed during the turning process. I
also enjoy the stories behind the pieces, taking
particular joy in creating a piece for someone using
material that has personal meaning to them. I hope
you enjoy my work as much as I do creating it.
