As a child growing up near a rice farm in Taiwan I was obsessed with making objects from clay and drying them in the sun. This passion remains with me today. After working 30 years as a Technical Designer in the fashion industry, my passion led me to restart my life and pursue an MFA in ceramics at Syracuse University.
My studio practice derives from Buddhist training in meditation. My ceramic objects flow through my hands, organically, from this energy to generate the forms.
Our daily lives should be surrounded by Art. I want people to enjoy a pleasing shape, that is enjoyable to hold, while also enjoying the food that is served with them.
