In 1975 Ian made a “road less travelled” turn by attending a League sponsored seminar in blacksmithing. Since then, sharing the business with his wife Jenny, he has been working full time at his forge making a variety of hand forged items for the home. He has developed a delicate style with a distinctive organic flair, and most of his pieces serve a practical function. Ian has been a long-time member of the Artist Blacksmiths Association of North America, is a past President and present member of The New England Blacksmiths, and has served on the Board of the League.
