The “Woven Dreams” Collection by Doug Masury is a series of framed fine art fiber creations. Using various yarns, glass and metal beads, glass rods, or other items, he applies a Scandinavian rug weaving technique called “Double Stitched Krokbragd.” This is a WEFT faced design meaning no warp threads show through the weaving, which can take up to an hour for 1 inch of weaving. In this piece called “Purple,” he uses rich purples, blues, and oranges with a complementing soft lavender and gray fringe, and glass and metal beads to create a one-of-a-kind fine art piece sure to complement any space. It is framed in black MDF with hanging hardware, and measures 15.5″ x 13.75″.
