In 2006, after seeing a traditionally hooked rug, Nancy bought a kit on ebay & has been creating her own designs since. With no resources in Orlando, Nancy taught herself with recycled wool. Others have since pointed out that those first 10 years of “hooking isolation” gave Nancy freedom to develop her own style without others’ influence. In 2016, Nancy left her FL dressage farm of 22 yrs when her hubby’s job was relocated to NH. Her silver lining was finally meeting other rug hookers at WMWM guild, where Nancy now serves as the co-vp. Nancy has hooked 30+ original pieces. Three were Celebrations finalists & twice has won Best Hooked Rug & People’s Choice awards at the Deerfield Fair.
