I come from a long line of New England fine crafters – primarily weavers and woodworkers. Their creativity and loving attention to detail is reflected in the furniture, clocks, and coverlets that I still enjoy decades after they were first crafted. My ambition is to continue this fine craft legacy in my fiber arts studio.
I’ve enjoyed working with fabrics since I first learned to sew in junior high school. Over the years, I sewed primarily traditional fare – clothes, sails, curtains, quilts, stuffed animals, etc. However, more recently I’ve veered away from traditional sewing projects to experiment with fabric dyeing techniques, free-hand quilting and computer-generated fabric images.
