Artist’s Statement: Ann’s fiber wall hangings reflect imagery from her recent travels to India and the ancient Buddhist monasteries of Sikkim. Materials include unique fibers and found objects that add a thought-provoking twist to the image. Found in almost every culture, the turtle is a symbol the artist uses frequently in her work, because it gives a feeling of close identification. Each viewer brings a personal interpretation to the collection of images.
