Artist: Caswell, Allen and Brenda

Allen and Brenda met at Plymouth University in the pursuit of art. We have collaborated on many artistic projects together. Through photography, printmaking, weaving and Gallery owners, our journey has led us here. Currently we are working with copper hollow-ware designs. Allen will spin, chase, and repousse shapes, and Brenda will finish with enamel designs. Often a patina finish is applied. The images have been inspired from our natural surroundings. Inspiration is gathered and embellished to let energy out or serenity in. We share a desire to create, simplicity of form and an intimate sense of place. Brenda received her BA from Plymouth University. Allen is self-taught in metal arts.

A hand-made copper bowl with fine layers of glass fused to the surface, with lovely patterns made of live botanicals, creates a true thing of beauty.
