Oxidized sterling silver earrings by Karen Eisenberg, featuring a leaf-texture that is enhanced by the dark patina. Karen works in PMC (precious metal clay,) a clay-like material that is actually fine silver powder suspended in an organic clay material. When fired in the kiln, the organic material burns away leaving nothing behind but pure fine silver. The resulting porous nature of the metal creates a wonderful bright white matte finish. Karen forms her work with this PMC, building and texturing each piece, and sometimes then soldering on additional pieces or bezel setting stones after it has been fired. Finished with secure, easy-to-use, sterling lever-back ear wires, these earrings make a wonderful pair to wear everyday.
1 1/8″ from top of ear wire to bottom of earring. (5/8″ disks)
