Sterling silver Champlevé stud earrings by enamel jewelry artist, Lynn Adams, with scalloped edged, tangerine colored glass enamel, and 14k gold posts. Translated from the French, Champlevé means “raised field.” Champlevé is an enameling process where the surface to be enameled is carved, engraved, stamped or etched with a design prior to enameling. The powdered glass enamel is fired into the design in numerous layers and multiple firings. As a result, the colored enamel shimmers like liquid pools contained within the silver borders. These delicate elongated oval earrings are a tiny detailed piece of wearable art.
