Becky Sawyer is n artist specializing in shrink plastic that is drawn by hand with colored pencil. She designs and creates earrings, necklaces and miniature drawings with organic influence. Images are drawn on shrink plastic and then cut and heated creating a harder thicker plastic material which is durable, water resistant and light weight.

Colorful and fun, the designs on these earrings are all hand-drawn and they are ‘barely there’ lightweight.

Here’s the process: After roughing the surface of the shrink plastic details are drawn with Prismacolor colored pencils at which point the art could be four inches in diameter. Then the plastic is baked, causing it to shrink. It also makes the flat plastic malleable so that pieces can be contoured to add dimension. When the set of earrings is cooled, holes are drilled in each and handmade oxidized sterling silver hooks are added.
