Handmade “Crown Shyness” necklace with an Ethiopian opal in the center. On an oxidized sterling silver chain. Exposure to bright light for one minute will illuminate the center of the necklace!
Lucy’s note: “Crown shyness is the phenomenon that occurs in forests in which the top branches of certain species do not touch each other. One advantage of this is that some predators, such as caterpillars, cannot cross from one tree to another. And surprise! The stars in this jewelry shine in the dark if expsosed to a bright light first.”
Pendant measures approximately 1-1/4 inches tall by 1 inch at widest. Chain length is 18 inches.
