Shannon Wallis, an egg artist from Norwich, VT, has been creating batik eggs since 1994 when she learned the technique from a friend. While Shannon has no known Ukrainian ancestry, she has fallen in love with pysanky as an art form and finds both the traditional and modern designs enticing, especially when they involve geometry. Besides creating highly detailed eggs, Shannon also teaches pysanky in her home studio, around Vermont, at the annual PysankyUSA retreat in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and at the Meredith League of NH Craftsmen. Her work was featured in the March 2020 edition of NH Magazine.
