Susan Pratt-Smith creates one-of-a-kind jewelry,
vibrant wall panels, and stained glass installations
using dichroic and fused glass. Dichroic glass
contains multiple micro-layers of metal oxides that
reflect different colors depending on what direction
or angle they are viewed from. “By controlling the
layering of the oxide thicknesses, which can be up
to 50 layers, different colors are obtained.”
Susan’s inspiration comes from tide pools, deep
woodland pools, and skating on cranberry bogs
frosted with black ice. Susan’s work can be found
at galleries throughout the US, and she has
received numerous awards her , including 1st
place from the Art Glass Association of Southern
CA.
