An artist and crafter from early childhood, love of
design has been a theme throughout Libby’s life.
Studying art and botany in college, then a career in
Graphic Design and Marketing, she always had
craft projects on the side. Intrigued by samples of
needle felting in 2012, she has been making small
sculptures since, inspired by nature, color, and the
beauty of natural fibers. All use natural wool, some
with wire armatures, beeswax, and horsehair
whiskers, with made or found accessories to add a
touch of whimsy to the otherwise realistic figures.
After a move to New Hampshire in 2018, Libby
decided to reconnect full time with her inner
maker, delving into the crafts she has always
enjoyed.
