Joy Malcolm is a mixed media artist and bookbinder who specializes in making one-of-a-kind handmade books and journals. She received a degree in Studio Art from Wellesley College and is a former secondary art educator. It was in college through a position in the college library’s conservation facility that she was first introduced to bookbinding. She is thrilled to be able to combine her experiences in book conservation and art education with her love of many different art and craft mediums, including printmaking, painting, sewing, collage and more, to create the covers, pages and other elements that are included in her journals.
