Diana was 12 when she went to live on a motor yacht moored to a field on the Isle of Wight, England. It was here that her love of animals, nature and most specifically cows began. Animals and whimsy have always been a central theme in her craft and life. After going to school and taking art classes Diana met her husband and moved to America where they started a family. Together they built a log house and farm where Diana spent several years’ oil painting and caring for what has grown to be a herd of 13 Scottish Highland cattle. In 1979, she began sewing a variety of soft toys and expanded to making mohair jointed teddy bears. Diana loves to see people smile when they pick up one of her toys, it’s very gratifying!
