Jane grew up near Chicago and attended the University of Denver, Stanford and California College of Crafts. In the 1970s, Jane operated the Bearware Shop in Aspen, CO, selling patchwork jackets, custom sewing, and stage clothes. In the 1980s, she designed and manufactured Bearware children’s clothing – matching dresses and bonnets with vintage style. Since 1992 Jane has designed handcrafted fleece hats in a variety of styles and colors, many adorned with handmade fiber pins: cool warm hats! Although on the road at craft shows much of the year, Jane maintains her studio in NH and is there frequently. Home base is now in La Veta, Colorado.
