I began working with glass in the mid ‘80s after taking my first stained glass class. It wasn’t long before I was making a variety of stained glass windows, clocks, and other novelties, which I sold to friends and family. In the early ‘90s I discovered that I could advance my artistic skills further by fusing glass into works of art. My early efforts focused around jewelry using dichroic glass and using that as a platform for honing my fusing skills. But, my real interest was in creating larger, more complex pieces of art. My “Birch Tree” series is the result of my effort to create original and visually pleasing, works of art.
