Jane Balshaw is a 4th generation artist that comes to her craft through the love of color. A life long passion for fabric and thread led her to interpret her color inspirations through cloth in both functional and purely decorative quilted textiles. Although most of Jane’s work is contemporary, her personal interest in 17th and 18th century textiles is represented through her hand-painting and mono-printing of the fabrics used in her work.
