WHAT IS A PRODUCT REVIEW?
A product review is a short, professional critique of specific items by a League juror. Product reviews ensure that all work that is produced by a craftsman continues to meet the League’s Standard of Excellence. When necessary, a product review will be used to address any standards concerns and assess continued compliance with League Standards.
Conditionally accepted members must complete product reviews to achieve juried membership. The work included in the reviews must meet or exceed the standards of the work brought to jury. The juror will evaluate whether the cautions, comments, and suggestions from the initial jury session have been applied to the work and will provide detailed feedback and outline any additional recommendations.
Juried members seeking to introduce a body of work that differs significantly in technique, form or function from their original juried work must submit new work for review. When a new media or extensive collaboration is involved, an additional jury in the new media may be required.
Product reviews are awarded one of 3 possible results:
- PASS, NO further review(s) required
- PASS, further review(s) required
- NO PASS, work needs additional attention
