WHAT IS A PRODUCT REVIEW?
A product review is a short, professional critique of specific items by a League juror, conducted at League HQ. Product reviews ensure that all work that is produced by a craftsman continues to meet the League’s Standard of Excellence.
Juried Members:
- Introduce a body of work that differs significantly in technique, form, or function from original juried work
- Address any Standards concerns and assess continued complance with League Standards
- Examine new work, collaborations, or explorations to determine if an additional jury in a new media is required
*To include new items in the Annual Craftsmen’s Fair, product review requests MUST be received by February 1st.
Conditionally Accepted Members:
- Product reviews are required to achieve juried membership.
- Work included in the reviews must meet or exceed the standards of the work brought to jury.
- The juror will evaluate whether the cautions, comments, and suggestions from the initial jury session have been applied to the work and will provide detailed feedback and outline any additional recommendations.
Product reviews are awarded one of 3 possible results:
- PASS, NO further review(s) required
- PASS, further review(s) required
- NO PASS, work needs additional attention
