MEDIA GUIDELINES SET THE STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE

The Standards Committee maintains media guidelines and regularly consults with media jurors to keep guidelines relevant and appropriately current among all our members. Please refer back to this page often to view any updates to the Guidelines.

  • Define the “Spirit of the Maker”
  • Outline accepted technical standards, policies, and practices
  • Support and direct the evaluations in jury sessions
  • Inform juried members of the expected standard of craftsmanship for all items displayed within League venues.

If you do not see your media listed, or are unsure of where your work may fit within our media categories, contact the League at [email protected] BEFORE submitting a jury or critique application, and BEFORE introducing new work that is outside of what you were originally juried for. The League does not evaluate 2-D Fine Art (painting, drawing) at this time. Work exhibiting elements of additional media will be expected to meet the techinical criteria of ALL included materials. Jewelry featuring both metal and non-metal components will be held to the standards of ALL relevant medias.
