BECOMING A JURIED MEMBER OF THE LEAGUE

WHAT IS A JURY SESSION AT THE LEAGUE?

Juried members of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen share the distinction of being the “best of the best,” nationally recognized as exceptional artisans who have met the League’s rigorous standards of creativity, innovation and technical expertise in their chosen fine craft.

A jury session is a professional setting where you will present a cohesive body of work and share your process and inspiration.  In a formal evaluation,  jurors will assess your technical proficiency, aesthetics, and “Spirit of the Maker” to guage your success in meeting the League’s Media Guidelines and Standard of Excellence.

Jury sessions are 1 hour long and held in-person at League HQ in Concord, NH. Sessions are held twice annually in the Spring and Fall. Read the JURIED MEMBERSHIP FAQ, view a JURY EVALUATION FORM and explore the LIST OF JURORS before you apply below.

Following the evaluation, jurors will award one of the following possible outcomes:

  • Juried Membership (Annual dues are $120 for individuals and $170 for partnerships)
  • Conditional Acceptance (additional reviews required)
  • Deferral (follow-up may include mentoring or re-jury within 2 years)
