I often find myself lost inside my own imagination, sometimes for weeks or even months on end. Creating art isn’t only a hobby of mine, but also a coping mechanism—a way of running away from the expectations and subsequent anguish I feel life has thrust upon me. It is inside of my imagination I feel protected from that which troubles me, and it’s there I learned to express myself more fluently. As I learn to project my imagination onto a canvas and into reality, my love for creating art develops and provides me with a sense of relief. Through my art, I look to provide for the viewer a window into my imagination and to share with you my place of refuge.
