Robin Ascher studied pottery in Seto, Japan and received her MFA from Pratt Institute in New York City. She worked as a textile designer in London and New York. Her studio is in the White Mountains, in Piermont, New Hampshire. Robin designs patterns inspired by nature, which she then carves into linoleum. Using these lino carvings Robin creates leaf and flower shaped clay slabs and assembles them into one-of-a kind bowls, plates and vases. Robin Ascher’s new work is currently available at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen galleries in Hooksett, Littleton, Nashua and Meredith, N.H.
