Pat Mika

Juried Member Since 1999

Pat Mika began weaving 40 years ago when she and a co-worker decided that it would be fun to take a class to learn how to weave.  Since then she began to weave professionally creating many items using Linen, cotton, silk, and wool. She has found that using Rayon Chenille, with its soft texture and vibrant colors can produce outstanding wearable products.    Over these many years she has concentrated on creating scores of new and exciting Color combinations of scarves.  Some of these unique scarves include Textured Accents to produce beautiful “one of a kind” wearable Art.

Her Scarves and Shawls are lightweight and extremely soft. They can be worn outdoors for warmth as well as indoors as a dressing Accent.
