Mixed-media encaustic artist, Nancy E. Adams, blends her interests in photography and fiber arts with the luminous quality of beeswax/encaustic medium to create dreamlike seascapes and landscapes. This collection represents real and imagined images from her travels both here and abroad. The work portrays a moment in time that captures the imagination.
Recently, Nancy has created a new series of cypress driftwood lamps & sculptures she’s calling Nature’s Light. They combine the beauty of the dark driftwood with the luminous quality of archival tissue paper and reed shades. Each lamp contains a 4-watt LED bulb which supplies an energy efficient, cool-to-the-touch 350 lumens.
