I have been making high-fired, colorful stoneware pottery for over 35 years. My work is best known for its dynamic forms and bold glaze colors that contrast with the earthiness of the unglazed clay. Whether wheel thrown or hand built, I draw on my experience of energy flow and abstract form. My massive wall platters and garden sculpture have won multiple awards in League shows. Working in a large scale allows me to express the fullness of energy that I feel when I interact with clay. I make ceramic furniture for the indoors or outdoors as well as many functional pots meant for daily use. Most recently I’ve been building wall sculptures and enjoy customizing them for specific sites.
