Kate Kilgus is a handweaver from Harrisville, New Hampshire and works on a manually operated floor loom. She weaves textiles for the home that can be used and enjoyed every day, wearables designed with fine yarns, and accessories crafted from her wool fabrics. Kate believes that the kitchen towel is the most important yet undervalued textile in the home. When looking for inspiration, Kate pulls out her favorite works of children’s literature and pours over the illustrations of Beatrix Potter, Robert McCloskey, and Dr. Seuss. Kate is also a vegetable gardener, open-water swimmer, and weaving instructor.
