I am inspired by the natural world: a crow talking to his cohorts in my backyard, a gnarled bit of root, or a bumblebee going about its business in the garden. All of these have found their way into my art, which may be made with cloth, a collage of painted and stamped paper, or a combination of both. The art that I make often contains imagery made from a stamp that I carved in rubber,foam,cork or some item that I have recycled, such as sneaker insoles. My studio is in an historic 200 yr. old house.
