I have been building scale model historical replicas of structures since 1996. Because I work mostly in wood, the structures that I reproduce are also made of wood. I have done work or built dioramas for several entities and many private collectors. Some of the public work has been done for the Nantucket Whaling Museum (Massachusetts), Anderson County Museum (South Carolina), and the Museum of Natural History (New York).
I just love old architecture. Reproducing structures, or recreating structures that no longer exist, makes me feel like I am, in my own way, preserving a small piece of history.
