I believe in making things. This is how I make my way in this world. I begin by puttering in my studio, laying down shapes & moving them around to see what works together. This is my sketchbook. My jewelry is hand-fabricated using metal sheet & wire. I use silver with gold kuembo as a design element. Pattern & texture are an integral part of my work. Influences include Greek, Asian & African art, the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, & painters Gustav Klimt, Mark Rothko, and Frida Kahlo.I helped found the Littleton Studio School & its metals studio. My love of craft encompasses not only what I make, but in creating opportunities and support for other craftspeople.
