My studio is in Boscawen, NH and I am a calIigraher and create mixed media art with text that reflects the way I see the world; a complex, ever changing combination of textures, colors, moments, and stories. I can’t always say whether the text or the design comes first, as they are inextricably linked, but thinking of ideas that encompass both is the most challenging part. From that, I build my work with transparent photographic images placed on my encaustic or collaged backgrounds and then taking that imagery and layering it with my hand lettering creating a meaningful combination of spirit and vision.
