After Jack retired from his dental practice in 1997 it wasn’t very long before he was in his home workshop creating exotic wood vases. Dr. G. has always felt that dentistry was part science and part art. The transition from creating little works of art using gold and silver in the back of people’s mouths, where nobody ever sees them, to creating wood vases, was quite easy. Jack says there are many similarities between dental work and woodworking: designing, cutting, shaping, contouring, smoothing, and polishing. This is truly a labor of love for this retired dentist.
