Hethre, a 2nd generation glassblower, has been creating with glass for over 20 years, having studied with some of the most talented and influential contemporary glass artists. Her first glass influence was through Uncle Mike, a neon artist & entrepreneur with a career spanning 54 years. Hethre is trained in various techniques, including hot shop (furnace) glassblowing, coldworking, casting, fusing/slumping, stained glass, scientific glassblowing and flameworking. She has taught at the Corning Museum of Glass, as well as other public studios, and teaches in her Wilton, NH, studio. Her work has been published in the New Glass Review, The Flow Magazine and NH Magazine.
