Suzanne Rothstein

Juried Member Since 2021

My introduction to and love of weaving began 35 years ago. Hand-painting my warps is a way for me to create one-of-a-kind projects that reflect the inspirations that surround me. The interaction of color with different weave structures is integral to my design process. Using tencel/rayon (hand-painted), cotton, zephyr, chenille, alpaca, I create projects that include scarves, ponchos, shawls, dishtowels, baby blankets, throws, Tallism (prayer shawls). As a member of the Weavers Guild of Boston for over 30 years, I participate in workshops and their Annual Juried Sale as well as various other juried craft shows which include Coolidge Corner Art Festival and Wellesley Marketplace.
