It is said that muses run wild and strong in Cornish, a small town in western New Hampshire with a rich history of creativity. I do know that my own muse demands daily attention.
My craft is one of discovery as I explore unconventional methods using two different classes of dyes to create an exceptional variety of depths and tones. I am captivated by the whimsical dances of dyes to laws of nature and mysteries of science as they wick and flow through silk. My pieces often change from one end to the other so that they may be worn to a variety of complementary effects.
I find special appeal in creating art to be worn, bringing my work out into the world to be shared with a wider audience.
