My passion for clay was sparked in 2001 when I took my first ceramics class and hasn’t waned since. In 2007, I became the Head of the ceramics program at Kimball Union Academy, a position I still hold today. Over the years, my work has been accepted to multiple national juried shows, most notably Strictly Functional in 2021, one of the premier national ceramic exhibitions. I have had the great fortune to take many workshops with notable potters in the US and Europe. My predominantly functional work is both wheel-thrown and hand-built from porcelain or stoneware, with a focus on rich surface decorations inspired by the natural world as well as impressions from my travels and museum visits.
