Wendy Lovegrove has been braiding rugs the old-fashioned way since 1984. She creates rugs with both the continuous braid and butting from the center techniques.
“I learned though weekly lessons at Isabelle Plant’s home – she would have us braid 3-4 inches stop, turn the braid over, and if there were any tweaks or puckers in the braid she would just say “take it out and do it again! As a result my rugs are reversible. I’ll always remember my first lesson after taking the braid out 5 times and starting again she said “now you can braid!””
