Beautiful triangular shaped pendant necklace by Carolyn Hudson, featuring a pale turquoise and black petrified wood stone. This petrified wood formed between 65 and 570 million years ago when the wood slowly decayed in an oxygen depleted environment. Minerals replaced the cell walls and filled the voids with silica rich fluids that eventually crystalized under pressure into a solid stone. Bezel-set in a sterling silver setting with a beautiful plant silhouette cut-out on the reverse side, and finished with a sterling link chain with hook and eye clasp.
2″ long (1 3/8″ long stone)Â x 5/8″ wide on 18″ chain
