Largely self taught, Kathleen works with metals and a variety of other materials to make jewelry. Timely instruction has helped her formulate construction technique and allowed the examination of adornment using non traditional, non- hierarchical use of materials. Patina and surface treatment has also played an integral role in stylistically widening the scope of this ever evolving work.
