I believe in making things. This is how I make my way in this world. I begin by puttering in my studio, laying down shapes & moving them around to see what works together. This is my sketchbook. My jewelry is hand-fabricated using metal sheet & wire. I use silver with gold kuembo as a design element. Pattern & texture are an integral part of my work. Influences include Greek, Asian & African art, the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, & painters Gustav Klimt, Mark Rothko, and Frida Kahlo.

Oxidized sterling silver necklace, with sterling silver wire and pendant finished in water cast 24k gold.

18 inches in overall length, Penadnt measures 1-1/2 inches long by 1 inch wide.
