Fiber Raven

Since childhood, Melanie has followed the call to create, shaping her life around art and imagination. With degrees in Fine Arts and Philosophy, she weaves reflection and craft into every piece. She has taught painting, drawing and sculpture, notably at the Gibbes Museum in Charleston and Currier Museum in Manchester, as well as privately to many homeschooled students. Her needle-felted sculptures of New Hampshire’s wildlife are born from wool, wire, and wonder—capturing the quiet spirit of the wild and raw beauty of nature. At her forest farm, among her dogs and rabbits, Melanie finds her rhythm and inspiration in the changing seasons. Her family makes maple syrup in the spring.
