Workshop Instructor Application

Workshops for children and adults are offered at the Annual Craftsmen’s Fair to engage and inspire our Fair guests.
Teen/Adult workshops for ages 13+ may be an all-day workshop, or divided into morning and afternoon sessions of approximately 2 – 3 hours each.  Shorter sessions are more popular.
If there are no participants for a particular session, the instructor should be prepared to demonstrate their craft to the general public.

Material fees are determined by the instructor and charged to the participants through payment at the Information tent.  All workshop proposals must be designed for BEGINNERS. A minimum of 8 students per session must be accommodated in all children’s workshops, a minimum of 6 students per session for adult and young adult workshops. All Ages workshops are also encouraged.

Please submit a separate application for each workshop proposal. Applications must be completed on or before April 15th, 2024.

We encourage you as a workshop instructor to display work for sale in a reserved area at The Shop At The Fair on the day(s) of your workshop. There is a commission taken from the retail price on the items sold. Historically participants receive 65% to 73% of retail sales. This must be arranged well in advance of your workshop.  A separate TSATF Application must be submitted, but they do waive the TSATF application fee. Please contact League HQ for more details ([email protected])

Stipend:  Workshop leaders are paid $200 per day

Teen/Adult Workshops: The standard schedule includes two or three sessions per day, but other options will be considered. Workshops must accommodate a minimum of 6 participants aged 13+.

Children’s Workshops: Children’s workshops for ages 5 – 12 consist of four 45-minute sessions throughout the day starting at 10:30 AM and ending at 4:00 PM.  Material fees are determined by the instructor and the League in consultation, and participants are charged by the League at the information tent. Sessions should accommodate a minimum of eight participants.
