David has always had a love of wood and the beauty that nature conceals in its bark. He works mostly with highly figured woods with colorful and decorative grain. Turning wood on a lathe is his way of releasing the designs hidden within. "The more you turn wood the more it will change in front of your eyes, like turning a kaleidoscope." His wood blanks are extensive, from Curly Maple, Red Gum, Rainbow Poplar, Black Walnut, Ambrosia Sycamore and many others. Each piece is polished and finished with bees wax and carnauba waxes and are food safe (but not dishwasher safe). Every bowl and vessel is an original wood sculpture signed by David.

Measures approximately 16-1/2 inches long with handle by 10 inches wide by 3/4 of an inch thick.

Food safe, finished in 2 coats of walnut oil. Wash with mild detergent and dry with a soft towel. Reapply walnut oil when it appears dry.
